Brits arriving at Faro Airport on Monday (May 17) between 9am and 8pm will be warmly welcomed by members of the Algarve tourism board (RTA).
The initiative aims to celebrate the reopening of Portugal to “non-essential travel”.
Algarve tourism chief João Fernandes will be joining the welcoming committee at 11am, RTA announced.
Thousands of British travellers are due to arrive at Faro Airport on 17 flights from the UK on Monday, the tourism board says.
Each arriving passenger will receive a kit with protective masks and a promotional brochure providing tips and suggestions about what to enjoy whilst in the Algarve.
