It may not be summer yet, but the Algarve will be getting a taste of it this weekend as maximum temperatures are due to soar above the 30ºC mark.
After a week of intermittent rainfall, the weather is due to be summer-like, especially in the south of the country.
The Algarvian capital of Faro is expecting maximums of 33ºC on Sunday, and according to the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere’s fo recasts, the hot weather will continue into next week.
It’s a different story for those living north of the Tejo River, as temperatures will be milder, and it may even rain in some northern regions.
