THIS YEAR’S line-up for the Algarve Summer Festival, to take place at the Algarve Stadium, is still not confirmed, despite the Tourism Board’s promise that the artists’ names would be revealed earlier, to allow more time for promotion.
The Resident contacted the press office at the Algarve Tourism Board, which stated: “We are still in negotiations with the performers and are unable to confirm any further details for now. Full information concerning this year’s festival will be released as soon as it is available.”
If the latest rumours are to be believed, ex-spice girl, Melanie C, whose new album Beautiful Intentions is currently number one in Portugal’s album chart, is to headline the two-day event, and will be joined by James Blunt, Black Eyed Peas, Daniela Mercury and Boss AC.
