The Algarve Senior Bikers (ASB) group celebrated its fifth anniversary with a special ride and lunch at restaurant O Encontro at the Carvoeiro Tennis Club on June 10.
ASB members met in Silves for a ride through the hills around the Odelouca dam, north of Silves.
The ride was led by David Shirley, who founded ASB in 2010, with the help of Steve Wills.
Afterwards, the members met at the restaurant for a “lovely lunch, which was finished off with coffee and superb cakes made by David’s wife Dee”.
The group has grown steadily over the past five years and now has over 150 members on its mailing list.
The next ASB event is being planned for September 10 in São Brás de Alportel but more details are still to be announced.
