Three resorts from the Algarve have already entered this year’s Homes Overseas Awards. The resorts, all new entries to the competition, are Boa Nova Village (Best Villa), Vila Sol (Best Villa, Best Golf Resort and Developer of the Year) and Quinta do Martinhal (Best Villa and Best Interior Design).
Praia d’el Rey, in northern Lisbon, is hoping to keep its title of Best Golf Resort and grab gold for Best Villa. Final closing date for the awards is September 10 and it seems that there are some very strong entries being prepared throughout the region.
Portugal scooped several of the major international titles at last year’s event, including Most Environmentally Friendly (Alma Verde), Best Golf Resort (Praia d’el Rey) and Best Luxury Development (Vale do Lobo).
Nowadays, potential buyers and investors are looking beyond the traditional markets for property and are faced with enormous choice and, often, confusion. An event such as this, organised by Homes Overseas, the leading overseas property publication in the UK and sponsored by British Airways, The Daily Telegraph and Moneycorp, is one very credible way of sorting the wheat from the chaff and presenting quality products to the public.
