In 2004, she set up her own legal practice in Lagos on Rua António Crisógno dos Santos, next to the Tivoli Hotel Lagos and since then has been dealing with cases covering many different areas including private law, property matters and company and business taxes.

Cristina Marcelo, who is fluent in Portuguese, English and German while also being competent in French and Spanish, will be joining the team at the Algarve Resident from January with her articles reflecting her legal knowledge and experience combined with her personal approach to clients.

Her first column will be published in the January 28, 2011 edition.
