Known for organising several top-class events all year round, the Algarve has received over 30 nominations for the fifth edition of the Iberian Festival Awards.
Loulé’s MED Festival stands out with an impressive 10 nominations, including for Best Medium-Sized Festival, Best Line-up and Best Festival Photo, followed closely by Festival F in Faro with eight, including Best Major Festival and Best Line-up.
Portimão and Lagoa’s BPM Festival and Fuzeta’s Pé na Terra are in the running in five categories, while Lagoa’s Fatacil and Loulé’s Noite Branca are nominated in the category of Best Festivity.
The winners will be announced at a gala award ceremony to be held at the FIL fairground in Lisbon on March 14, 2020. Voting is open to everyone until January 7 online at https://pt.surveymonkey.com/r/ifa2020
The Iberian Festival Awards are organised by APORFEST, the Portuguese Association of Music Festivals, and aim to highlight the best events that are held in Portugal, Spain and other Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking countries.
