REINFORCING ITS aim to exploit the potential of the Spanish market, the Associação de Turismo do Algarve (ATA) has recently been promoting the region at the Salón Internacional de Turismo de Cataluña, Catalonia’s international tourism fair, in Barcelona.
The Algarve is being given a high profile in order to attract the Spanish market, either through tourism fairs, road shows or promotions, all combining to form a strong communications campaign. The objective is to sell the Spanish tour operators and consumers products such as city breaks and golf. In addition, to increase visibility, new outdoor billboards are being placed in Spain’s main cities as well as adverts in key publications and on the internet.
Already on the ATA’s calendar is another Algarve road show in Spain, booked for October, which will visit the cities of Seville, Madrid and Barcelona.
