BOA ESPERANÇA vessel recently left Lagos Marina on route for Saint Tropez to promote the Algarve to the French as a desirable tourist destination.
The trip is a joint initiative from the Região de Turismo do Algarve (RTA) and the Associação de Turismo do Algarve (ATA), and will include participation in the prestigious Velas Latinas Regatta, in which more than 300 vessels will be taking part.
The aim of this journey is to promote tourism in the Algarve, as well as to strengthen existing relations between the Algarve region and the French region of Var. Over this period, the Boa Esperança will be open to the public, offering comprehensive information about the Algarve region.
On its return journey, the boat will continue its promotional activities, stopping off at Barcelona and Valencia, before arriving at Lagos Marina on May 30 for a celebratory welcome party.
