Portimão and Albufeira are joining forces to participate in the 50 Plus Beurs fair in Utrecht, Holland, from September 17 to 21, where the municipalities will promote the Algarve as a winter tourism destination for seniors. Several local associations will be working from the Algarve stand, which covers a 32sqm space, promoting products and services that appeal to senior tourists.
The fair, which is mostly aimed at people over 50 years of age, was attended by 100,000 people and 600 exhibitors in 2012, making it the most important event for senior tourism in that country.
