Between June and August, the Algarve was the most searched for destination by users of holiday website homelidays.com.
Homelidays.com receives more than six million visitors per month worldwide and, according to statistics from the company, there were more than 94,000 requests for information about the Algarve during the summer months, an increase of 36 percent in comparison to the same period last year.
Most of these requests were found to be from users within Portugal, France and Spain.
