A lack of boarding ramps at Algarve train stations is forcing disabled people to board trains in “difficult and dangerous” ways, Algarve MP João Vasconcelos has warned. Thus the Left Bloc (BE) politician has questioned the government this week about whether or not it is planning to fix the “serious flaw”. The issue came to light after a wheelchair-bound student from Lagos struggled to board a train to Mexilhoeira Grande during a field trip.
