In an effort to get more people using their bicycles instead of their cars, the Algarve Municipalities Association (AMAL) has joined the European Cycling Challenge 2015, which will take place in May.
Locals and tourists will be encouraged to download a free App (Cycling 365) for their mobile phones to register the amount of kilometres they cycle.
The city/region with the most kilometres will be named the winner.
