Wines, liqueurs, craft beers and juices made in the Algarve will be showcased during the second ‘Algarve no Copo’ (Algarve in a Glass) event, due to take place at Jardim 1º de Dezembro in Portimão between August 25 and 28 from 6pm to 1am.
The event aims to not only promote locally made beverages but also attract visitors to the town’s historic centre, organisers say.
The first edition was held in 2018 with a different format, encouraging people to visit several local stores to discover what was on display. However, the event has been reshaped to bring producers together in one location.
“Algarve no Copo” is organised by Teia D’Impulsos – the same association that organises the famous Rota do Petisco gastronomic route – with the support of Portimão Council, the regional wine commission (CVA) and the regional tourism board (RTA).
Registrations are open until July 31 for producers who would like to showcase their products.
