Algarve hotel workers to learn to “save lives”

Hotel workers in the Algarve will be given basic life support training following a partnership between the Algarve tourism board (RTA) and regional health authority (ARS). The goal, they say, is to “save lives”. “With this pioneering protocol, we aim to prepare the tourism sector’s workers for emergency situations, thus ensuring the health and wellbeing of the tourists who choose the Algarve for their holidays,” said RTA boss Desidério Silva.
