Concerns over healthcare in the Algarve have made it to the Portuguese parliament (AR).
In an article published in the government’s official newspaper Diário da República, AR has called on the government to “implement measures that defend the Algarve’s primary health care, its patients and health professionals”.
AR also recommends closer contact with local councils to keep health centres open and investment in the training and career progression of health professionals.
