MORE THAN half a billion euros has been earmarked for the Algarve until 2013 from the European Union, through the government’s national planning scheme (QREN).
A total of 600 million euros has been assigned to fund many significant projects. CCDR’s João Faria said it was a significant amount of money to enable the Algarve to continue to develop.
Sagres Fort is one of the priority projects for renovation and tourism related ventures will be favoured as well as the development of inland areas.
