The latest concerns English Championship (second tier) side Coventry City – only denied promotion to the Premier League in a play-off final penalty shoot-out by Luton Town – who will be based in Portimão from July 8 to 14 – matches to be announced.
Sporting Lisbon will be staying in Lagos between the 15th and 26th whilst Spain’s Celta de Vigo have scheduled matches against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr (17th) and Benfica (22nd) – watch this space for further details nearer the time.
Meanwhile, Portimonense returned to ‘work’ on Wednesday with any number of positions still to be filled before the start of the season in August.
Goalkeeper Nakamura and defender Park Ji-soo are expected to return from international duty with Japan and South Korea in the near future, but first team regular Zié Ouattara could be another player to leave should Romanian club Farul increase their offer.
