Farense v Casa Pia (Saturday, 6pm)
The 2023/24 league campaign kicks off this weekend with Portimonense traveling to old rivals Gil Vicente on Saturday afternoon while Algarve neighbours Farense take on last season’s surprise package Casa Pia in the early season.
Both clubs have enjoyed a less than perfect preparation this summer, although Farense did beat Portimonense behind closed doors last Saturday morning but previously went down 4-2 to José Mourinho’s Roma at their own São Luís stadium.
