The Algarve Football Association (AFA) has called on regional football clubs and referee associations to play an active part in the welcoming of Ukrainian refugees.
AFA wants them to pitch in “be it in terms of finding job opportunities, accommodation, useful services or any other kind of support.”
Meanwhile, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has also said it will cover the costs of allowing children of refugees to join football and futsal clubs in Portugal.
