The Algarve Food Bank and the Faro wholesale market (Mercado Abastecedor) are working together to provide food to 8,500 families in need in the Algarve.
Fruit and vegetables are donated twice a week by the companies based at the market, helping avoid waste whilst supporting underprivileged families.
The partnership was established in 2013 and has already led to the donation of over 150 tons of food products.
