The Algarve has fielded 10 nominations for this year’s Publituris Trade Awards.
Portimão, Lagos, Albufeira and Vilamoura marinas are nominated for the ‘Best Marina’ category; Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Congress Centre and Salgados Palace & Congress Centre have been put forward for ‘Best Congress Establishment’; Zoomarine theme park in Guia is going for ‘Best Park/Company of Tourist Entertainment’; Vila Vita Parc Resort & Spa in Porches has been put forward as ‘Best Independent Hotel’, Fazenda Nova Country House near Tavira for ‘Best Rural Tourism’; and Loulé for ‘Best Municipality’.
The award ceremony is scheduled for February 25 at Lisbon’s BTL Tourism Fair, to be presided over by Secretary of State for Tourism Adolfo Mesquita Nunes.
Voting runs until February 23.
Winners will be decided via jury votes (60%) as well as those from Publituris’ newsletter subscribers (40%).
