Let’s start with what we can do. Local moves in the Algarve and throughout Portugal feature heavily as one of our core services. We are also still travelling to EU countries such as Spain, France, Italy, etc, on a very regular basis. The movement of your personal or commercial effects have not changed for these services. We can do partial or full van loads.
We are still sending lorries to and from the UK. Our consignment sizes have had to change post Brexit to make this service cost effective, which means the online shopping service has been suspended altogether. The core business has always been moving peoples’ belongings to and from the UK, and that continues. There is now more paperwork that needs to be processed so allow yourselves a little extra lead in time when making the initial contact with us.
Commercial goods can also still be sent, although there are now a number of products that are prohibited or where you need specific licenses to import them from a non-EU country. We can help you with understanding what can and can’t be put on our lorries. We recommend you contact us at least 2 weeks before needing to send your goods.
Despite Brexit, Algarve Express Transport & Removals’ philosophy hasn’t change – each delivery is entered into as a partnership. Our number one concern is to deliver what you need and when you need it, as long as it is structurally sound and safe. We will never dissuade you from what you desire simply because it is more work for us, and we are always happy to do the research needed to create something new and innovative.
