A PLACE in the Sun, the UK’s Channel 4’s TV series presented by the well-known Amanda Lamb, hosted an exciting exhibition by the same name at the Docklands’ ExCeL Centre in London. The three-day event, held at the beginning of the month, was overwhelmingly attended by more than 100,000 visitors looking for their dream place in the sun.
The exhibition has now become the biggest of its kind in Europe, with many countries being represented, including Dubai, the US, Spain, Croatia, Bulgaria, Turkey and, of course, Portugal.
Marcela Properties, a well-established estate agency based in the western Algarve, was one of the exhibitors at the event representing Portugal. The agency attracted wide interest from visitors, who had the chance to browse through the company’s portfolio of properties for sale in the western Algarve. António Marcela, owner of Marcela Properties, was so delighted by the turnout that he has already booked a space for the next event.
It was noticed by António and his staff that visitors had done their homework before the exhibition and knew exactly which country they were interested in, with Portugal featuring top of the list for many.
