Dozens of entrepreneurs from across the Algarve got together for the sixth Grow Algarve Meetup, an event that aims to gather anyone who is “contributing to the Algarve’s economic growth and attractiveness”.
The event was held at Cloque Bar in Praia da Rocha, Portimão on Thursday, July 27 and was organised by Algarve Evolution, one of the main drivers of the Algarve Tech Hub, a regional technology system which aims to “represent and develop the Algarve as a competitive global technology hub that companies, institutions and individuals will find attractive.”
As organiser Miguel Fernandes told us, the Grow Algarve Meetup events aim to help business owners from all fields of activity get to know each other and exchange ideas in-person.
“You can be of any nationality or field, the goal is to have everyone come together to discuss business ideas or just have a fun time,” he said.
These meetups will continue being held in different towns across the Algarve on a regular basis.
More information about the Algarve Tech Hub can be found online, with its three main goals being the following:
- Promoting and developing the Algarve region as a technology and digital innovation hub;
- Aggregating and consolidating expertise in various fields of technology in order to create conditions that will enable projects with a real chance of being winners on the international stage to be designed and developed;
- Identifying talents and stimulating international interest in the region, making the Algarve more competitive and attractive to companies, investors, researchers, digital nomads, remote workers, and entrepreneurs.
