The Algarve boasts eight of the 10 “best beaches in Portugal” as voted by users of travel website TripAdvisor.
Praia da Falésia (Albufeira) leads the list, followed by Praia da Rocha (Portimão) and Praia da Marinha (Lagoa).
Also included in the top-10 are Praia do Camilo (Lagos), Praia de São Rafael (Albufeira), Praia de Odeceixe (Aljezur), Meia Praia (Lagos) and Praia da Galé (Albufeira).
Praia do Guincho (Cascais) and Praia da Nazaré are the only non-Algarve beaches that made the national ranking.
