The Algarve Dance Company (Companhia de Dança do Algarve, or CDA) will be hosting an international dance gala entitled ‘Terpsícore’ on Saturday, October 12 to celebrate its 15th anniversary.
The event will take place at Teatro das Figuras in Faro at 9.30pm and will see CDA dancers taking the stage alongside other renowned dance companies such as the Opéra National de Paris, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe and Salzburger Landestheater.
Together they will be performing some of their most iconic choreographies, from classics such as Dom Quixote and Sleeping Beauty to contemporary works by Carolina Cantinho, Evgeniy Belyaev, Lucas Vidal, Margot de Andrade, Marius Petipa, Natalia Abramova and Yuka Higuchi.
“It will be an unmissable evening which will see dancers from the most prestigious dance companies, top choreographers and the CDA join forces in one of the biggest venues in the country,” organisers say.
Tickets cost between €10 and €15 and can be purchased at the Teatro das Figuras ticket booth or online.
