THE FIFTH Algarve Construction Expo, a fair of civil construction and related businesses, is currently taking place in Portimão’s Parque de Feiras e Exposições. Over the course of the last five years, the organisation has succeeded in making the event the fourth biggest fair in the country in terms of the number of exhibitors. This year, there are around 100 exhibitors and a total of 200 stands in a 12,000sqm area. The theme of the fair, organised by Alentexpo, is security and various seminars on the subject have been arranged for the four-day event. A smaller fair, known as ART CASA, devoted to furnishings, decoration and articles for the house, is taking place in a separate area simultaneously. The Algarve Construction Expo runs until April 3, from 3pm to 10pm.
