The Algarve is celebrating the International Day for Monuments and Sites with several free activities.
First is a seminar about Alcalar’s Megalhitic Monuments on Friday at Portimão museum from 3pm.
The following day, Alcalar will host a historic recreation dubbed ‘Um Dia na Pré-História’ (a day in prehistory).
Finally, the Roman Ruins of Milreu will host an archaeological event for children on April 16, while Sagres’ fortress will hold an event focusing on Portuguese proverbs on April 18.
