The Algarve Women’s Business Network (AWBN) will be holding its last meeting before the summer holidays on Thursday, July 16 at the Lendário restaurant in Quarteira.
‘Renew traditions’ is the theme of the event, which will feature a lecture by Lurdes Silva from Bioco Tradition.
Her company specialises in selling modern versions of the ‘bioco’, a cloak used by women in the Algarve over a century ago.
She will be giving a step-by-step explanation on how to “turn an idea into a business”.
The meeting will begin at 6pm and also feature a cheese and ice-cream tasting, as well as a musical performance by saxophonist Joe Barreiros.
Admission is free, although those who want to have dinner with the group will have to pay €17.
Anyone attending is asked to bring a donation for the Algarve’s mental health association (ASMA).
