Algarve bowls report

At Albufeira, the Cats were at home to the PDF Sinners during the One to One Car Hire Saturday league games on February 28 and took no prisoners, winning by 102-33, boosting their shot difference and collecting seven points.

Over at Tavira, the PDF Crusaders came away with a narrow away victory by 53-49, although the points were split 4-4.

Earlier in the week the Gladiators beat the Harlequins 52-42., taking five points to two, while the Wanderers were beaten by the Greens 58-43 and seven points to nil.

Greens top the table with 71 points, followed by the Gladiators on 68 and the Cats on 66. Harlequins have 57 and Wanderers are on 54 points. Tavira Titans move up to 50 points, whilst Tigers rested this week and remain on 48. Then come the Crusaders and Sinners on 45 and 27 points respectively.

This weekend sees the championship semi finals at Tavira and a full report will follow in next week’s edition of the Algarve Resident.
