After six matches of the inter-club autumn competition the Vale do Lobo side of Peter Judge, Gui Gomes, Lilian Judge, Jan McGlynn, John Freeman, Chris Williams, Eurico Cedeira, Lorraine Freeman and Maggie Williams proved worthy winners over rival teams from Praia d’Oura, Tavira and Isla Canela.
The matches once again highlighted the sport as a developing ground for social interaction among players of all nationalities, where bowlers at all levels of experience are welcomed.
The Algarve bowling league vice president, Richard Hepburn thanked sponsors, The Drytech Group for their support. Richard also highlighted that with other bowling greens being planned across the region, and with an increase in bowling tours from the UK, the sport has lots to offer local residents.
