The Algarve’s “excellent birdwatching conditions” are again being promoted by the regional tourism board (RTA), this time at the Extremadura Birdwatching Fair (FIO) in the Spanish town of Monfragüe, Cáceres. Expecting around “13,000 visitors and hundreds of exhibitors,” the event runs from March 11-13. RTA boss Desidério Silva says birdwatching can help fight seasonality by attracting bird lovers during the low season.
