Spain’s Anna Arrese recorded a total score of five under par 283 to take the 80th edition of the Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championship ahead of Germany’s Lara Katzy.
The hosting Amendoeira Golf Resort Oceanico O’Connor Junior Course will also be one of the two venues for the Oceânico World Kids Golf Championship 2010 which will be held between July 26 and 30.
Following last year’s debut success, the stroke play competition designed for the best under 17s around the globe will now be officially sanctioned by the Portuguese Golf Federation and integrated within the International Federation’s official schedules.
Looking further ahead, the ladies will be returning to the Algarve at the end of October for the inaugural Oceânico Golf Ladies Week which boasts an exclusive four-day programme to include play on the group’s Victoria, Amendoeira Academy and Pinhal courses.
