The Algarve 41 Club celebrated the end of Geoffrey Harnett’s year of office as club chairman with a ladies night dinner and dance held at the Holiday Inn Algarve in Armação de Pêra on May 12.
More than 50 members of the club, together with wives, partners and guests sat down to a meal after welcome drinks on the private terrace of the restaurant.
After the meal, Geoffrey Harnett presented the Chairman’s chain of office to Frank Bulmer who will be Chairman for 2012 and Dr José Pearce de Azevedo OBE, honorary president of the club, presented a glass trophy he had commissioned to Dudley Brown, who won the annual bowls competition.
The evening finished with everyone dancing the night away to Class Act.
The club meets at the restaurant O Farol in the Rocha Brava resort near Carvoeiro on the first Tuesday of every month at 12.30pm and wives and partners are welcome to the convivial meetings.
