Preparations are underway for the sixth edition of the Partridge Fair, which takes place at the Pavilhão José Rosa Pereira in Martim Longo, Alcoutim, on October 13 and 14.
With a varied programme, this year’s fair offers a range of activities, including archery, traditional games, seminars, falconry demonstrations and street entertainment throughout.
Aiming to promote the council as a privileged hunting area, particularly for the red-legged partridge, the fair also features a variety of hunting-related items, gun dog shows, and regional handicraft and food.
The fair opens at 11am on Saturday (with activities taking place beforehand) and 10am on Sunday, alongside a march through the village.
