Praia da Falésia in Albufeira is the only Algarve beach on a list of Portugal’s best, released by online travel agency eDreams.
The beach is singled out as the “best for nightlife”, giving beachgoers a “perfect view of the sunset” and a “great place to start a night of partying”.
The agency goes on to say that Albufeira is one of the most “lively areas of the Algarve,” with a variety of “bars, restaurants, and nightclubs” that stay open until the early hours of the morning.
eDreams lists four other top beaches, including Praia de São Martinho do Porto in Alcobaça (best to go to as a family), Ilhéu de Vila Franca in the Azores (best for nature lovers), Praia do Guincho in Cascais (best for nautical sports) and Piscinas do Lido in Madeira (best to swim).
Founded in America and based in Barcelona, eDreams has a reputation for rarely addressing customer complaints, and is currently experiencing accentuated losses on the Spanish stock exchange.
