Over 10,000 people are expected to walk through the doors of the 7th Portuguese Wine Show, taking place over the weekend of May 16 – 18 at Albufeira’s EMA exhibition hall.
Organised by Confraria Bacchus de Albufeira, the event promises to be the biggest of its kind so far and will feature as many as 80 wine producers from all over Portugal.
The Alentejo is once again the region that will be most represented (with 23 growers showcasing their wines), followed by the Algarve (12), Bairrada, Tejo, Península de Setúbal, Lisbon, Dão, Trás-os-Montes and Douro regions.
Quinta dos Vales (Estômbar), Quinta do Barranco Longo (Algoz), Quinta João Clara (Alcantarilha) and Quinta da Malaca (Albufeira) are only some of the Algarve producers that have confirmed their presence at the show.
The event will also feature workshops, lectures and exhibitions as well as the presentation of this year’s Algarve Wine Route guide book.
Admission is free, although to taste the wines visitors have to buy a glass for €3.
