Representatives from German multinational companies visited Albufeira on November 14 as part of a trip for the promotion of the council’s conference and golf facilities.
During the visit organised by the CS hotel chain and supported by Albufeira’s promotional agency (APAL), the representatives were given a tour of the city and enjoyed a traditional Algarvean dinner at a restaurant in Praia da Oura.
According to a statement from APAL: “Albufeira offers excellent facilities for congresses and golf.”
With the opening of the five-star CS São Rafael Atlantic Hotel, which has an auditorium with a capacity to seat 452 people, as well as multipurpose rooms, “Albufeira can host a greater number of different events, namely symposiums, conferences and banquets”, says APAL.
The statement added: “The council’s golf facilities were also shown to the German representatives who showed great interest, as it can be included in incentive programmes as a complementary product to the main event.”
Meanwhile, Albufeira is finalising projects that will allow it to host larger events. This includes the construction of a municipal auditorium with a capacity for 1,000 seated people.
“This means that Albufeira will then have a cultural space where large shows, seminars, conferences and other large events can be held, positioning the council as the one with the best conditions in the Algarve to realise these events,” said APAL.
