The streets of Albufeira will be buzzing with rally cars on the 10th and 11th of September

Following two years of interruption due to the pandemic, Albufeira’s 5th Municipality Rally is back on the roads on the 10th and 11th of September.

Reputed to be the most famous race in southern Portugal, the Super Especial Albufeira starts on Saturday the 10th at 21:00 on the Avenida dos Descobrimentos.

On Sunday the 11th, three classification events will take place, between the Algoz and the Tunes roads (Guia) in Canais (Ferreiras), which will be navigated three times, and in Alcaria (Paderne), where the course will consist of two laps. The complete race course measures 158.03 km, of which 61.43 km will be timed.

These tests start at 10:00 am and are scheduled to last until 2:00 pm. Spectators will be able to assist from various points. In Guia, the Rally will pass at 10:00, 11:00 and 13:05; in Ferreiras at 10:25 am, 11:30 am and 1:35 pm; and in Paderne at 11:45 am and 1:45 pm.

The prize-giving ceremony will be held at 15:30 on the podium in front of Albufeira’s Town Hall building, where the Rally’s Operational Center is also set up. As for the Rally’s assistance car park, this year, it will be located in the car park between Albufeira’s Municipal Pavilion and Municipal Stadium.
