ALBUFEIRA IS hosting the very first Albufeira Marina Regatta (I Regata Marina de Albufeira), to be contended purely along its coast, this Saturday and Sunday (May 28 and 29).
The regatta is being organised by the Clube Internacional da Marina de Vilamoura and, for those enthusiasts among you that understand boating terminology, the event is open to sail boats in class ANC, of groups A and E, which will be competing according to the rules RRV and FPV. This nautical event comprises two regattas, the first taking place on Saturday, from 1pm, and the second on Sunday, from midday. Both will be contended close to the marina, allowing the public to enjoy views from various points of the town, just like a natural amphitheatre – proving that Albufeira is one of the very best locations for this type of sporting event.
