The OP has a €150,000 budget and its theme is ‘Sustainable Development’.
Projects can be presented at five sessions to take place in the next two weeks: on April 5 (Tuesday) at the EB2/3 school in Ferreiras from 8.30pm; on April 7 (Thursday) at the EB1 school in Olhos de Água from 6.30pm; on April 11 (Monday) at the EB2/3 school in Guia from 8.30pm; on April 13 (Wednesday) at Paderne’s parish council from 6.30pm; and finally on April 15 (Friday) at Albufeira’s secondary school from 8.30pm.
Animal centre to be completed “in four months”
Albufeira council also revealed that the top voted project of the 2015 OP – an “animal wellness centre” – is scheduled to be built in the next four months.
The council says it is in the process putting the job to tender.
The 110sqm centre will include a kennel and cattery, a reception area, vet’s office, surgical room, 10 dog houses, as well as an outside area for training.
