Albufeira will be celebrating Wine Tourism Day with free visits and wine tastings at local wine estates Adega do Cantor and Quinta do Canhoto on Sunday, November 8.
Adega do Cantor, a winery co-owned by Sir Cliff Richard, will be open to visits between 10am and 12.30pm.
Located at the top of Quinta do Miradouro in Guia, it is a 17-hectare wine estate where several award-winning wines are made using the Viognier, Syrah, Aragonês and Alicante Bouschet grape varieties.
In the afternoon, Quinta do Canhoto will be welcoming guests between 2pm and 5pm.
Quinta do Canhoto is a 22-hectare estate where several prized wines have been produced since 2017. It also has a long-standing tradition of growing some of the Algarve’s most traditional ingredients, including carobs, almonds, figs and olives.
Due to the pandemic, each visit will be limited to just five people. If you want to take part, all you have to do is show up at the wine estates during the hours they will be open for visits.
