A brand new youth football tournament kicks-off on Monday (April 6) with free admission and a host of young talent on show.
Thirty-six teams ranging from Under 9s to Under 14s will compete for the prestigious EuroCopa trophies.
Stakeford Juniors (Tyne & Wear) will arrive with over a hundred young players together with a further hundred family members and friends.
Carniny Amateurs FC from Ballymena (Northern Ireland) are sure to receive a warm welcome with their Under 14 contingent. Local interest revolves around youth teams from Portimão, Albufeira, Olhão, Faro and Loulé.
The tournament is being played over three days at the Estádio da Nora in Ferreiras and the Albufeira Municipal Stadium Complex. On the opening day, matches will take place from 9.30am to 7pm whilst on Tuesday and Wednesday the games start at 5.30pm and finish at 8.30pm.
