Creative photographs of Albufeira’s “environmental heritage” – including beaches, countryside and waterways – are what organisers of a new photo contest hope to receive until September 30.
The challenge is open to all photography buffs, “whether they are professional or amateur, foreign or Portuguese”, as long as they are aged 18 or over.
Each contestant can put up five photos, which have to be in colour JPG format.
Entries can be sent via email to educaçã[email protected] with the requisite form found on www.cm-albufeira.pt
Photos will then be voted on online by the general public (between November 1 and 30) and later by a jury (between December 7 and 11).
The final results will be announced before the end of the year.
Top prize is a camera while winning pictures will be displayed by the council.
