Green areas have recently been on the agenda of Albufeira’s municipal authority, which has carried out improvement works along many locations throughout the city in order to create new spaces and preserve existing ones.
The main objective is to provide residents and tourists with comfortable areas in which to relax and in harmony with the environment, consequently increasing their quality of life.
The municipality has also improved its watering system in order to guarantee that the patches of vegetation are irrigated in a more cost-effective way.
Actions have already taken place in areas bordering the Brisa Sol – ‘Worms’ roundabout with the removal of certain bushes and hedges that were preventing the growth of grass.
Work is now being conducted on the Avenida dos Descobrimentos, around the Municipal Câmara building and in certain areas of Montechoro and Albufeira Marina.
