No doubt counting the days until summer, Albufeira Mayor and representatives of beach concessions in the council met on January 24 to agree on the official bathing season for 2013, discuss strategies and share opinions.
Popular tourist town Albufeira is the only municipality in the Algarve with an extended bathing season, running again this year from May 18 to October 20. In Portugal, the bathing season normally runs from June 1 until mid-September.
