Albufeira donates electric car to local health centre

Albufeira Council has donated a “100% electric car” to its local health centre.

The vehicle – a Nissan Leaf 62KWh – was purchased for €36,000 and has a 528km range.

Local mayor José Carlos Rolo says the new car is “fundamental to improve the service” that the health centre provides to the population, “namely in terms of health care provided at patients’ own homes.”

The choice of vehicle is also seen as an important way of contributing towards decarbonisation.
