Albufeira donates €62,000-worth of medical equipment to public health services

Albufeira Council has donated €62,000-worth of medical equipment to the Algarve University Hospital Board (CHUA).

Included is one ventilator to be used at Faro Hospital’s intensive care unit, three portable ultrasound machines (two of which will be used by VMER emergency vehicles), and an ultrasound machine and video laryngoscope for Albufeira’s basic emergency unit.

Albufeira Mayor José Carlos Rolo has stressed the donations will help public health services at a time when the “pandemic has worsened substantially”.
