Albufeira council is investing €4 million this year in the municipal water and sanitation system. One of the main goals is to avoid a repeat of the floods that wreaked havoc in the town in 2015.
Nearly €300,000 is being invested in works at the Inatel area, one of the areas that is worst affected by floods.
“When it starts to rain, this area is badly affected. People complain, and rightly so, and we are doing everything to solve this problem,” said local mayor José Carlos Rolo.
